About Seri Manja
Home support shaped by what families actually need
We started Seri Manja because we saw how much families were juggling — and how little structured support existed for the everyday side of caring for an older relative at home.

Started by a family, for families
Seri Manja began in Kuala Lumpur after our founder, Faridah Nordin, spent two years coordinating care arrangements for her own mother in Bukit Tunku. She found that while the desire to help was everywhere, practical, well-organised support was hard to come by. Most options were either too clinical in tone or too loose to rely on week after week.
She set up Seri Manja in 2022 with a straightforward idea: give families in the Klang Valley a calm, dependable way to arrange home life for older relatives — not through rushed checklists, but through considered planning and honest communication.
The name "Seri Manja" comes from the idea of warmth and gentle attentiveness — the feeling of a home where someone older is genuinely looked after, not just managed. That spirit runs through everything we do.

What Guides Us
Our mission and values
Home comes first
We believe older relatives are most at ease in their own surroundings. Our work is about making that home as comfortable and manageable as possible.
Honest communication
We tell families what we can arrange and what we cannot. There is no vague language or over-promising — just clear, straightforward information.
People, not procedures
We adapt to each household. Two families may want the same service but need it arranged quite differently — and that is entirely fine with us.
Privacy is taken seriously
Information shared with us — about the household, the older relative, or family circumstances — stays within the team and is never passed on.
Reliability over bustle
A companion who arrives consistently and on time means more to an older person than one who arrives enthusiastically but irregularly. Steadiness matters.
Dignity in every arrangement
We speak about older relatives as the adults they are. Our arrangements are shaped around their preferences, not assumed on their behalf.
The Team
The people you'll hear from
Faridah Nordin
Founder & Lead Coordinator
Faridah oversees all client relationships and service matching. She draws on personal experience as a family carer and has spent three years building Seri Manja's approach from the ground up.
Rajan Subramaniam
Home & Accessibility Consultant
Rajan leads the home comfort setup service, visiting households and putting together practical room-by-room plans. He has a background in interior planning and a genuine interest in accessible living.
Lim Shu Ting
Meal & Household Coordinator
Shu Ting coordinates the weekly meal planning and grocery arrangements. She liaises directly with families to build menus that reflect the older relative's tastes and any household preferences.
How We Work
Standards we hold ourselves to
Background-checked companions
Every person who visits a client household goes through a reference and background check before their first visit. Families can ask to see these records at any time.
Written service agreements
Every service arrangement is confirmed in writing so that families know exactly what has been agreed, how often, and at what cost before anything begins.
Data handled with care
Household and personal information is stored securely and shared only within the Seri Manja team, in line with Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act requirements.
Regular family check-ins
We schedule a brief update call with each family every four weeks to discuss how arrangements are going and whether anything needs adjusting.
Clear cancellation terms
Our service agreements include clear terms around pausing or ending arrangements. Families are never locked into a commitment that no longer fits their situation.
Registered with SSM Malaysia
Seri Manja operates as a registered business under the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM), giving families confidence in the organisation they are working with.
Home coordination for older relatives in Kuala Lumpur
Seri Manja works with families across Kuala Lumpur's Wilayah Persekutuan to put practical home support in place for older relatives. The three areas we focus on — home accessibility setup, weekly meal and grocery coordination, and scheduled companionship visits — were chosen because they came up again and again in conversations with families who felt the everyday side of looking after an older relative was poorly served.
Families in KL often juggle demanding work schedules, multi-generational households, and distances that make frequent personal visits difficult to sustain. Seri Manja fills that gap without replacing the family's presence — we coordinate the framework so that the time families do have with their older relatives is spent together rather than on logistics.
Our work is rooted in a simple observation: an older person at home needs more than occasional company. They need a consistent, well-organised daily environment. Seri Manja exists to help build that environment, one practical arrangement at a time.
